Selection of photos from our test track days.

Our first TT day of the year saw 4 of the new Dapol 08 shunters on show, all in different liveries, as well as a lovely sound chipped class 25. All photos taken by Julie, owner of the green 08 with wasp stripes. We had a total of 38 members and vistors throughout the day and so other locos were run too!

A new record total of 44 people came along.

In addition to the O gauge TT running, we had Gary Ball exhibiting his OO and OO9 new layout, Alan came along with a pile of new loco boxes, John Walker demonstrated how to ultrasonically clean brass, the clubs 00 layout Harbour Station was in action with Brians new ddc sound and smoking A4 'Silver Fox' and Buffer Books had all the books at half price for Xmas only

A nice variety of engines were put through their paces, Kevins new Dapol 08 ran faultlessly - super value for money. With three tracks we have plenty of running time for everyone, and while the days total was 44, they were spread over the 6 hours available. So it never felt crowded.

Richard Webster of Dapol brought along a B Set of GW coaches for our inspection – they looked good too.

Peter had has Gauge 1 display on show. Wonderful quality in the live steam Scot and the LMS diesels 10000 and 10100. Thanks Peter.

Thank you to all who came along and helped make the day such a success. I can think of no better place to be on a Tuesday than Llandrinio village hall. A great group of modellers who have a good day out with friends. That ends our TT days for 2016. If you have not come along yet, give it a try you will not be disappointed.

TT DAY 14th JUNE 2016

Another successful day. Thanks to all who came along to run and test their locos, have a good chat, and enjoy a cuppa with a slice of cake.
Photos show modellers getting serious!

TT DAY 10TH MAY 2016

May's test track day was another good day out for modellers.

38 members and visitors came along to Llandrinio, a new record number.

Sandy Harper was demonstrating lining and we were also supported by Ian Moreton of Modelscape, with a selection of O gauge goodies and of course Julie with Bufferbooks.

Julie was on hand to supply tea/coffee and cakes and we managed to get through two chocolate sponges, most of the fruit cake slices and the ginger slices and also 6 pints of milk.

Some lovely models were on show, but whether you bring a model, or a part built kit, or just come to meet fellow enthusiasts it remains “A great day out”

A wide variety of locos were brought along to run on the Test Track, lots of tea and chat, and a very informative demonstration by Malcolm Green on resin casting (see demonstrator topics page) was well received by all. Martin Rich with his narrow gauge layout Afon Adit and club member Nick with his 0 gauge layout Hawtop kept people entertained too. A very enjoyable day.

A record number of 35 people visited the Christmas Special running day, with 7 Dapol Terriers, as well as various other locos. Other attractions were Gary Ball with his 00 test track and Mark Wigley with his 00 layout Marks End. Traders were Buffer Books and Ian Moreton of Modelscape. Sandy Harper was demonstrating wagon building. Refreshments went down well too, with 2 chocolate cakes, mince pies and mincemeat flapjacks, all homemade, washed down with mugs of tea and coffee, all served by Mrs Santa!! A grand day out.
